At the age of eighteen I took my first personal growth workshop. From then on I took every one I could get my hands on. I spent over six figures in the ensuing years on trainings, classes, therapists, coaches, etc.

I led my first workshop when I was twenty three, and haven’t stopped since. For me, the key to being a great teacher is the commitment to being an enthusiastic student for life.

I attended a school (Aesclepion) that taught intuitive development, helping to activate the often dormant right side of the brain. This brought forth some unusual gifts, like knowing precisely what to say to clients without knowing how I knew.

I studied Non-Violent Communication, The Emotional Freedom Technique (Tapping, as it is now known), A Course in Miracles, Men’s Work, Inner Child Work, and a host of other modalities.

In 1985 I began writing and performing songs about the transformational process and became a recording artist and performer. Nine CD’s and three continents later, the traveling troubadour started writing books, including my latest, Mindful Masculinity - A Book for Men and the Women who Love Them.

Along the way there have been some interesting side roads. My lifelong interest in comedy led me to performing stand up~opening for Robin Williams, Dana Carvey, and other comic legends. I also developed a wise and funny alter ego, the Spiritual Dr. Seuss, giving talks entirely in rhyme as if the good doctor himself was dispensing wit and wisdom to adults.
