978 | Inside the Amish World: Haley Straw’s Unbelievable Journey & Untold Stories!

A Portland, Oregon native turned rural Missourian, Haley Straw immersed herself in the Amish community in 2016, bringing her hippy, big-city upbringing to a simpler, faith-driven world. She has since spent thousands of hours driving an "Amish taxi," witnessing their joys, sorrows, and everyday life firsthand.

Haley has crisscrossed the country with the Amish to their weddings, funerals, reunions, auctions, and family vacations. She’s stayed in their homes, shared meals, and gained a deep understanding of their customs, beliefs, and values. From their parenting methods to their views on technology, their cultural practices and religious beliefs. Thus far, she has written two books: My Journey into the Amish World and Amish Christmas Mishaps. She continues to collect and share tales of Amish life through her writing, speaking, and public engagements.
