990 | From Journalism to Fiction: Sarah Seltzer on Activism, Writing & Her Debut Novel!

I'm Sarah Seltzer, I am an editor at Lilith Magazine and have been a journalist for many publications (some that still exist and others that no longer exist!), reporting on activism and culture, and writing essays, cultural criticism, and the occasional opinion piece. The Singer Sisters is my first novel, but not my first attempt!

Some random things I love besides singer-songwriters, classic rock, and novels: “getting outdoors,” jumping into bodies of water, Jane Austen and 19th century Brit Lit, Bridgerton, Bruce Springsteen, being an eternally-amateur yogi, Tolkien, bikes, trains and other ways of getting around without a car, getting deals at TJ Maxx, show tunes, New England, France, coffee, cheese, ice cream, gazpacho, bagels, and babka.

Sarah Seltzer

Welcome. I am a writer in New York City where I live with my family, surrounded by books, records, CDs—and a lot of snacks.

I am an editor at Lilith Magazine and have been a journalist for many publications (some that still exist and others that no longer exist!), reporting on activism and culture, and writing essays, cultural criticism, and the occasional opinion piece.
