At the age of 39, Allan Misner had a health and fitness wake up call. Over the next eight years, he rode countless waves of weight loss and weight gain. He struggled to lose weight over 40. When he did lose weight, he couldn't keep it off.

One morning, while lying in bed in a hotel room, hungover and fat again, he made a commitment to his health and well-being.

Over the next 11 months, Allan lost over 66 lbs of fat and gained 11 lbs of muscle. He capped off the change by completing a Tough Mudder with his 21-year-old daughter (a Level 1 Crossfit coach).

Today, Coach Allan is a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer, a Precision Nutrition Level 2 Master Health Coach, and a Functional Aging Institute (FAI) Certified Functional Aging Specialist. He also has specialties in Fitness Nutrition, Corrective Exercise, Behavior Change, Performance Enhancement, and Online Personal Training.

Coach Allan is the creator of the thriving 40+ Fitness Community, providing online one-on-one and group nutrition and fitness coaching for clients over the age of 40.

He is the host of the 40+ Fitness Podcast, for which he has interviewed hundreds of health and wellness experts with a wide range of specialties.

Coach Allan is also the author of the award-winning book, The Wellness Roadmap: a Straightforward Guide to Health and Fitness After 40.
