Founder and CEO

Ashley Dalton is a passionate advocate for disability rights and awareness, particularly within the community of Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) warriors. Hailing from Canada, Ashley's journey into advocacy began after experiencing a personal ordeal that highlighted the challenges faced by individuals with mobility issues and disabilities.

Ashley's professional background includes working for companies contracted by the federal government, where she encountered a significant life-changing event. During a fire drill, she was unable to evacuate due to her mobility status, leading to her subsequent dismissal without cause. This incident left her with PTSD and trauma, necessitating an Emotional Support Animal (ESA) to manage her daily life.

Harnessing her adversity, Ashley has since become a vocal advocate for workplace accessibility and disability rights. She actively uses social media to share her story and connect with others, focusing on raising awareness about FND. Her posts have garnered attention, especially around key dates like the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, where she openly shares her struggles and the support she has found through her ESA (emotional support animal), Luna.

Beyond personal advocacy, Ashley has taken initiative to educate and support the broader FND community. She has created merchandise like awareness shirts, mugs, and ribbons to fundraise and spread knowledge about FND. Her commitment extends to organizing virtual meetings and talks with healthcare professionals, aiming to bridge the gap in understanding and care pathways for FND sufferers.

Ashley's efforts have not only helped her regain personal independence but have also inspired a network of FND warriors to seek support, share their stories, and advocate for better policies and resources. Her work continues to be a beacon of hope and action for many, showcasing her resilience and dedication to making a tangible difference in the lives of those with similar challenges.
