Justin Muchoney

Artistic Director

Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Justin Muchoney has felt at home on the stage as a musician, educator, actor, director, producer and conductor for as long as he can remember. This career in music, education, theatre, theme parks, organizational development and training & development has culminated in his current role as the Artistic Director and Executive Director for one of the largest, most inclusive, and most mission-focused performing arts organizations in the United States.

After winning a job as the Chief Magic Official, a spokesperson for Disney Parks during “The Year of a Million Dreams,” he relocated to Central Florida to begin a 13-year adventure working for the Walt Disney Company. During his tenure, Justin was a Stage Manager for some of the most popular shows, was a part of christening two new cruise ships, was a Project Manager for live concerts, fireworks spectaculars, and more, was an Entertainment Proprietor during the opening of two new lands at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, led the entertainment teams for Epcot’s many festivals, developed tours and team building programs for Disney Institute, and served as a Production Manager for Disney Cruise Line.

Justin has been with Central Florida Community Arts (CFCArts) as a music director and conductor since the beginning of the organization, helping to grow CFCArts to include 2 of the largest ensembles in the country along with nationally recognized programming for children, youth, older adults, exceptional learners, and more. He has found great joy in designing programming and conducting the 300-member Symphony Orchestra, leading the Big Band, and creating and supporting numerous supplemental ensembles and he is now thrilled to expand his work to lead the overall creative direction and production efforts across all of CFCArts.

Focused on the artist and patron experience, Justin guides creative choices, programming decisions, marketing and communications, and long-term strategic planning and fundraising to make sure CFCArts stays true to its mission to build and serve their community – while also producing thrilling, quality, and unforgettable experiences for our performers and our audiences.
